mSORB 3A-NG is a potassium type A zeolite bead, Interra Global's natural gas grade of 3A molecular sieve. Exchanging potassium into the framework narrows the pore opening to a nominal 3 angstroms, which admits water while limiting the uptake of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and ethane and heavier hydrocarbons. The grade is formulated for natural gas dehydration where the formation of carbonyl sulfide (COS) must be minimized, and the beads combine high mass transfer efficiency with the durability to hold up through repeated adsorption and regeneration cycles. The data sheet states the maximum heating temperature for regeneration. It is the selective grade of Interra Global's two natural gas molecular sieves; mSORB 4A-NG is the high-capacity grade, usually chosen where the gas has already been treated for acid gas, and the natural gas dehydration page sets out the choice between them. Chemical Formula: K₁₂[(AlO₂)₁₂(SiO₂)₁₂]·nH₂O TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Where a 3A molecular sieve is preferred, mSORB 3A-NG is typically used for:
